Rooted Center is the name for the movement, meditation and healing arts teaching activities of Sylas & Leilani Navar.
Drawing on their decades of study and practice in the rich traditions of Asian martial arts, energy and meditative practices they offer various learning opportunities which you can explore below.
About
Sylas began his martial arts learning at the age of 14, began teaching at age 18, and has continued learning and teaching various arts since then. He is responsible for lineages in Liang Zhen Pu and Gao Yi Sheng Baguazhang, as well as Shenlong Xingyi, Liuhebafa and a classical Chinese physiotherapy system which includes traditional bone setting. He was also given a 4th degree Black Belt rank in Emperado Method Kajukenbo all from his teacher Vince Black. Sylas has also studied Brazilian, Philippine, and Japanese martial arts.
In tandem with his martial arts training Sylas has also researched and teaches various Qigong and other energy developing systems.
